The Springfield-Sangamon County Regional Planning Commission will coordinate an update to the Sangamon County Multi-jurisdictional Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan. An updated plan helps the county and its cities and villages better prepare for natural hazards. A Task Force of representatives from the cities and villages, community organizations, county and state agencies, and the public will guide the planning process.
The Task Force's final meeting is Monday, February 27, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the County Board Chamber, 2nd Floor of the Sangamon County Building, 200 S. 9th Street, Springfield. The meeting is open to the public, and we welcome public participation.
Check back here in the future for updates, meeting agendas, minutes, and other information about this project. Steve Keenan, Project Manager, can answer questions by phone at (217) 535-3110 or email at Steve.Keenan@sangamonil.gov.
